In Harper's this month, they publish the last e-mails that Rachel Corrie wrote her family. I'm reminded of this because Commondreams.org has an article by Naomi Klein called Why Two Women Went to War. It is a sad thing that our nation celebrates the faux rescue of one while ignoring the death of another. It probably has a lot to do with our current faux-President.

Tape of the day: Nat King Cole, songs I recorded off of KUT many years ago. Yes, I should just buy a CD that will last longer, but the show really played a diverse range of his music. I'll probably keep listening to the tape til it dies. Which will probably be any month now.
